Merging RAID from different controllers
Heres a theory, using a Proliant 1850R & Smart Array 3200:
Lets say I have 4 hard drives running of the motherboards SCSI controller, in RAID 0 (one large disk), and then another 4 disks on the Smart Array 3200 running RAID 0 as well, can these two arrays be marges to create one large disk? or set to RAID 1 (mirroring).
Regards,
Ben

Re: Merging RAID from different controllers
Ben:
You cannot merge the two hardware arrays together from diferent controllers.
You can do this with your O/S if it supports it.
