Microsoft Windows NT Post SP6A Security Rollup
I have a Compaq Proliant 1600 Server running Windows NT 4.0 SP6A, Compaq SSD 2.22A. When I install Microsoft's Security Rollup July 26, 2001 it blue screens on reboot. I am able to get the system to reboot by replacing the driver scsiport.sys with the SP6A version.
Anyone have any thoughts? Maybe it is having a problem with the Compaq SCSI drivers?
Thank you,
Joel

Re: Microsoft Windows NT Post SP6A Security Rollup
I have the same server with 2 PII400 and 512 MB Ram. When I installed the Security Rollup the server didn't reboot. I was able to reboot it only with 128 MB of RAM. Compaq support ask me to do a memory test, but first I uninstalled the Security Rollup and the server booted with 512 MB of RAM. Now I'm doing memory test, but I think that you're right: the problem is in Compaq drivers. Max

Re: Microsoft Windows NT Post SP6A Security Rollup
take look at MS BB Articles q299444, and q305228, which discuss the blue screen after install of sap. you probably need to update cpqarray.sys driver.

Re: Microsoft Windows NT Post SP6A Security Rollup
Thanks, I'm reading the articles that was posted a few days after my desaster, and I've a 4.22.0.0 version of the cpqarray.sys. Soon I'll try to update the driver and to reinstall the security update. Max.
