I currently have the Intel® Xeon® E5-2609
According to this, https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04128239.pdf?ver=6
I should be able to upgrade to the processor to the E5-2690.
I can't seem to find the HP part available anymore that comes with the heatsink. The only ones I can find are on eBay. Can anyone confirm that i can use the same Heatsink that i currently have and just replace the processor?
Many Xeon E5-2690 on eBay are from old Mac's. Is it the same processor and can it be installed into a HPE proliant server or are they different?
Thank you

SolutionHi,
I hope you are referring to the first version of the two processors, if YES, both the processors use the same heatsink.
Please refer to the updated QuickSpecs and PartSurfer details.
