ML 370 G4 - raid questions

I just received and mounted the new ML370 G4 server. During buyin' phase i asked and checked for an addictional raid scsi controller for realizing bot a raid one and a raid 5 solution with the 5HD i bought. But the sellers told me that i didn't needed an addictional scsi controller becouse one was already included with the box. and it's true, the lsi1030-it, dual channel ultrascsi 320 is inside, but i'm not able to configure any array-raid neither in bios neither in smartstart (7.60). was i right in trying ordering an additional controller becouse i thought the integrated one had no raid capabilities?

Hi GiorgioIT,

You were right, They should have ordered for a Smart Array controller card.

The LSI SCSI controller card does not support raid. Check the Quick Specs.

You might need to order for a Raid controller card.
