ML 750 Smart Array 431 Controller
I have a parts list for ML 750 that shows two array controlers, a 431 and a 4250ES. Quick Specs lists the 4250ES. and a 532 controller., a 5312 and 5300. Why all the differences and no 431 in the spec?
Thanks
Robert

Re: ML 750 Smart Array 431 Controller
Hi,
It depends on the QuickSpecs version, may be they removed 431 due to unavailability.
If you refer to an older version of QuickSpecs, you will find 431.
Here is the list of available documents and software for ML750 server.
Thank You!

Re: ML 750 Smart Array 431 Controller
Hi: Thanks for response.. Since both appear in the "parts list" I assumed they were both needed. The 4250ES is shoen in the cabelling diagrams but the 431 is not so I assumed the 431 was controlling the PCI bus while the 4250ES controls the disks.
Under "PC Board (Interface)"
The parts list shows: 127695-291
Smart Array 431 Controller with 16MB cache - PCI to Single
Channel, Wide Ultra3, SCSI Adapter (Japan) <<<<<<<<(B21 for us)
And: Under "Electronic Parts - Array"
401858-001 3-Channel Ultra2 array 4250ES controller
I am tryingto find a block diagram of the ML750 to better understand what is going on.
Thanks for response.
Robert
ps: Bought 2 431's on eBay.
