ML10 v2 CPU Current Throttling

I have current throttling when running i7-4790k on default, stock settings. Is there a way to know what the current limit is or adjust BIOS to avoid throttling, assuming it is safe? I'm using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to monitor the CPU's condition.

Re: ML10 v2 CPU Current Throttling

Greetings.

Temperature & Power requirements for the processors are set automatically & cannot be modified manually. There is a threshold set for these, when the threshold exceeds the server will automatically shut down to avoid any major damage.

Re: ML10 v2 CPU Current Throttling

Update: With a little searching online, I have updated my BIOS to performance settings for the processor and changed my overclocking settings in XTU to a much higher amperage limit at about 300A according to XTU. Generally I don't get current throttled now but under high load I now get thermal throttled at 90-100C which is using all 4 cores at around 100% at 4.2GHz Turbo. I think I'm mostly satisfied with the result as long as this won't fry my device. I'll ask for more support if I get stuck with something.
