ML110 G6 Smart Array E200i initializing problem

I have a problem with my HP Proliant ML110 G6. I want to use the Smart Array E200i controller to setup a Raid 1 configuration. I have created this with the HP smart setup CD (I think it's called that). And everything went fine.

But after the installion of VMware ESXi 6.0 HP Custom.. when it's initializing the Raid controller/configuration it seems like its unable to load the configuration. But sometimes when you reboot it's just working fine.

I have already reseeded the Card and also took the battery/ram out and back.

But it did not solve the problem.

This is very annoying becuase the server is normally not conected with a screen so I cannot see what happening when its booting.

I dont know what to do with it. Offcourse I can just dont use the Raid controller and go with the normal SATA ports.

But thats not what I want.

Hope somebody can help me with this.

If you need more information please let me know.

Best regards,
Indra

Re: ML110 G6 Smart Array E200i initializing problem

Hi,

You may try updating the firmware of the controller and check if the issue is resolved. You may refer to this link to download the controller's firmware. If the issue is not resolved, then run the Array Diagnostics Utility to check for any issues with the storage array.

Hope this helps.
