SolutionDevice Manager will show a ├в Yellow Bang├в on ├в Unknown device├в or ├в SM Bus Controller├в . Issue persists even after installing all appropriate drivers(including chipset drivers);
It├в s an KNOWN issue, specially with ML150 G3; & occasionally with DL320/DL380 servers & very Rarely in Blade servers.
HP IPMI Controller Driver Needs to be installed in such scenarios, as per advisory:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c00751525
NB: Please restrain from installing AHCI drivers directly from Intel websites; Server WILL Crash !
The Driver Mentioned in the Advisory is STRICTLY for ML150 servers. For other servers with same issue, Install the drivers from:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/26986.html
Regards,
James.
