ML110G6 with P212/256 controller and SATA NHP drives
I am looking for a solution to a problem I found today- While assembling an ML110 server with a P212/256 controller and four 250GB SATA drives, two of the physical drives won't show up in the controller configuration.
When I did a search, I found this thread:
http://forums13.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447627+1277497794689+28353475&threadId=1404667
The 487734-B21 cable is correct physically, but when I connect the drives to the controller, only the 3rd and 4th drives show up. I've tested the drives by moving them to different cables, and it's always the last two that are present, but all four work when connected there.
I can't find any physical jumpers or switches, and BIOS and the Array Configuration Utility don't have any options either.
Firmware of the card is version 2.74, I saw that version 3.30 is out, but it doesn't specifically address this issue...
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Rick
