HP ProLiant ML150 G6 server.
The server has a cage for two power supplies.
There are two identical 750 watt power supplies.
I insert both, and when loading the BIOS writes - "504-redundant power supply #2 failure".
I swap the power supplies - "504-redundant power supply #2 failure".
I insert the 1st power supply into the 1st tray - the server works and boots, with a warning that there is no power supply in the second tray.
I insert the 2nd power supply into the 1st tray - the server works and boots, with a warning that there is no power supply in the second tray.
I rechecked all the contacts, cleaned the second power supply slot, wiped the power supply contacts with an eraser - to no avail.
The power supply LED in the second slot does not light, the fan is spinning.
Plugging it in while hot also does not lead to anything.
There is nothing useful in BMC logs "Generic 03/28/2025 22:28:32 PS 2 Status Power Supply Failure detected Assertion"
