ML150G3 AND THIRD PARTY SIMPLE SATA DRIVES
Hi,
has anyone ever successfully fitted a third party sata hdd into an ml-150g3 (470064-472)? I found part number (373211-001)on the internet and was wondering if that is possible. If it is possible do I need a special kind of Sata drive or anyone would do? Do I also need any special cables to fit or just a normal sata cable would do?
Thank you for your time,
Christos

Re: ML150G3 AND THIRD PARTY SIMPLE SATA DRIVES
Hi Christos,
Hmmm. Not sure.
I just installed two SATA HDDs into an ML350G5. One was a Seagate and one was a Western Digital. They came from HP, but they look like standard SATA units to me.
If you buy from a non-HP source then you will have to obtain the drive chassis unless you already have them.
Apart from that I am not sure of the setup of the ML150 G3. Does it have HOT swap drive bays?
