ML310 G4 GPT / GUID Partitioning
I am attempting to upgrade my File server and have 4 x 1tb SATA hard drives.
I have them configured in a RAID 5 logical disk.
The server is a ML310 G4 with a HP P400 RAID Card.
I can partition 3 drives but cannot have anything larger then 1.9tb.
Example:
OS 100gb
OS Secondary 100mb (Required for server 2008)
Data 1.9tb (I cannot create this bigger then 1.9tb and cannot use the remaining 700gb)
I have looked into GPT / GUID partitioning but I don't know if the server supports it and how to enable it.
Anyone have any suggestions / advice?

Re: ML310 G4 GPT / GUID Partitioning
How did you partitioned the logical disk? I mean - which software have you used for this?
Regards,
Philipp.

Re: ML310 G4 GPT / GUID Partitioning
I'm really not sure if G4 has UEFI support...

Philipp.

Re: ML310 G4 GPT / GUID Partitioning
There was an issue with older version of P400 FW.

Re: ML310 G4 GPT / GUID Partitioning
Both System BIOS and RAID Controller BIOS are latest firmware.
Thanks all for the responses.
