ML330 G2 - Convert ATA100 from Raid-0 to Raid-1

We have a ML330 G2 with 4 IDE drives. Two are 20GB and two are 80GB. At present, the two 20GB drives are configured as one 40GB logical drive. The two 80GB drives are conigured at one logical 160GB drive.

We want to convert this to a Raid-1. With one logical 20GB drive (made up of the two 20GB) and one logical 80GB drive (made up with the two 80GB).

Can we....

Somehow convert in place?

If so, what is the process?

Since the ATE RAID controller (AMI) is a very basic one, you cannot migrate RAID-sets or convert from non-RAID to RAID.
The only way is to backup the data, scratch the disks and create the RAID set. Then install the OS and restore the data.

If you've some sort of DRO/IDR, it's of course much easier.

Re: ML330 G2 - Convert ATA100 from Raid-0 to Raid-1

In looking thru the doc, I figured there wasn't a way to do an in-place conversion. But, since computers don't read the doc. I thought it would be a good idea to double check.
