ML330 G3 - Maximum memory speed?
Hi,
I (stupidly) ran the Crucial Memory Advisor on one of our old ML330 G3 servers that we're looking to upgrade into a workable low-end domain controller, and was told to purchase PC-2700 (DDR333) ECC memory. This memory doesn't allow the system to boot. I now read that the maximum, according to the manual, is PC-2100.
Was Crucial completely wrong, or is there a firmware update or something along those lines that may enable support for this PC2700 memory?
Thank you in advance. Also, if it matters, the DIMM I am trying to use is Kingston ValueRAM 1GB ECC Unbuffered DDR 333 (PC 2700) server memory, 184 pin. [KVR333X72C25/1G]
