ML330 G6 - Set ILO Shared Network Port to "disabled" dont work
Hello ,
I want to use the second Network Card from an ML330 G6 only for the ILO .
At the Moment in Network Connections i see to Network Adapters.
When i try in the HP Lights Out Online Configuration Utility to set ILO Shared Network Port to "disabled" and say Apply the ILO restarts but after the restart the Shared Network Port is also enabled again.
Thanks for Help
Michael

Re: ML330 G6 - Set ILO Shared Network Port to "disabled" dont work
Your options are either leave iLO sharing the NIC 1 or buy the iLO dedicated NIC port option module (P/N 514206-B21) and then iLO will use that Dedicated Port when the setting is "Enabled".

Re: ML330 G6 - Set ILO Shared Network Port to "disabled" dont work
Hello ,
Im a little bit confused about this statement .
On the Backside of the ML330 there are two NIC Connectors , one is signed as NIC and the other one as ILO2 , and i can setup the BIOS of the ILO2 on Startup .
Why should i need onemore ILO2 Module ?

Re: ML330 G6 - Set ILO Shared Network Port to "disabled" dont work
See attached picture from my ML330 G6. The iLO dedicated NIC is the third port labeled "Mgmt". If you don't have the dedicated iLO NIC option, iLO can only be accessed from the Server Shared NIC that is labeled "1 / Mgmt".
