Ml350 G3 rebooting intermittently
We have a ML350 G3 with 1Gb RAM running SBS4.5 sp6a (high encryption). The server has critical updates on server applied a month ago. A week ago the server decides to reboot itself, typically around midnight. Arcserve 2k is on server andf the backup job occurs around then. The job has always been at this time and no work has been done on the server in the last month. Compaq agents have been upgraded from 5.50 to 6.10 in the hope this resolves the issue, but server still reboots. A bugcheck error appears in the event log (error 1001: Stop 0x0000000a (0x0000000 0x00000002 0x00000001 0x8010a9a4). Can anyone help ?

Re: Ml350 G3 rebooting intermittently
If the reboot always happens at midnight when backup starts (and nobody is watching) then it might also happen when you manually start a backup while you are watching. Did you try this ?

Re: Ml350 G3 rebooting intermittently
I've had a similar problem with one of our ML350 G3's recently (2000 Server). Would stop responding (BSoD), memory dump to file and then re-boot. This happenend twice, always on a Thursday afternoon. I tracked it down to an out of date NIC driver (NC7760) which was being overloaded by traffic when a database update occurred on a Thursday lunchtime. Updated driver and all was OK. Driver revision history did state that overloaded network traffic could cause BSoD.
Hope this helps a bit?

Hi
We have seen this happen on some of our servers, You need to check what process runs on the server at that time, our issue was that the backup was running at that time and that was taking the server down.
