ML350P Gen8 Drive Cage Questions
I've recently bought an HP ML350P Gen8 server and it came with a single drive cage which accepts 8xSFF disks.
I (stupidly, i know) assumed it would arrive with a cage accepting 6xLFF drives. Because of this, I already ordered my drives.
My question is: Can I swap out the 8xSFF cage with a 6xLFF cage? If so, is this the correct part number 659485-B21?
If anyone is in the opposite situation and wants to swap...

Re: ML350P Gen8 Drive Cage Questions
PN is correct. Keep in mind to order blanks for slots without drives installed:
HP LFF Gen8 Hard Drive Blank Kit 666986-B21
NOTE: Mixing of SFF and LFF drive cages is not allowed.
NOTE: Additional Hot Plug Drive Cages require a separate Smart Array controller for each drive cage. HP recommends the HP Smart Array P420/1GB FBWC 6Gb 2-ports Int SAS Controller (P/N 631670-B21).
NOTE: Expander HDD Cage Kit allows up to 18 LFF / 24 SFF HDDs managed under one single controller. The controller must have a minimum of 512MB FBWC module installed.
