Array 1 - everything is fine.
Array 2 - all three drives show the orange failure light but function perfectly.
Additionally, upon rebooting the machine, the server wants to rebuild Array 2 but it isn't necessary because it is functioning just fine.
Has anyone encountered anything like this? Any idea what the issue is?

Does anyone know if this is a problem with the drives or the array card? Oleg?

Solutionproblem started with ID12 / 72 GB
find info below, apply updates for remaining HW
Server ML370 G2
5i controller FW 1.92 ├в latest one 2.66
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/revision/5364.html
Hard drives
BD03664553 ID 0, 1
BD0366459B ID 2 needs firmware update
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=PSD_EX020918_CW01
BD07265A22 jump to ID11, 12, needs firmware update
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c00559846
BD0726536C ID13 ok
if you still have all 3x72 - update firmware run erase and test them, keep monitoring ID12 (if you marked them) other two should be good
how did you get them to ID11-13, DATA drives and you moved them from different server ?
I added few advisories with recommendations for firmware updates, along problem with ID 12 is different

Re: ML370 3 of 6 drives show solid orange light but work fine???
Looking at the ADU report it appears that one drive which was originally at SCSI ID 3 was hot-swapped on 20th December at 17:08:58. A few seconds later you had devices at SCSI ID's 11,12 and 13. I think this was a direct result of the problems at SCSI ID 3.
(Please see attached RIS section)
I believe these ID's should be 3,4 and 5 as it looks like 8 has been added to the ID's.
Olegs suggestion of firmware updates is good especially for the Smart Array 5i. This kind of problem where ID's have suddenly changed has been seen before.
Regards,
Brian
