ML370 Dual COM 1 on Win2003SBS
Yes, that's right, under Control Panel/Device Manager there are two COM1 port listed. There's no resource conflict as the first COM port (let's call this 'A') uses IRQ 04 and the other COM1 port (let's call this 'B') uses IRQ 03. Currently there's only one USRobotics 56K external Fax modem physically connected and installed, but two identical modems with different drivers are sitting on top of the COM1s. As of right now the fax server is under heavy usage, and any downtime is strongly advised against.
If i remembered correctly the default IRQ setting for COM1 was IRQ 4 and for COM 2 was IRQ 3. At the moment both COMs are showing as COM1s, while COM2 is "in used" when I tried to move the phantom modems onto COM2. Has anyone encountered this problem? I have applied the latest firmware/Rompaqs on the ML370 G1. The only external devices attached to the server is an USB drive, while there's also an internal PCI USB expansion card sitting on one of the PCI slots. So, what do you guys think? Thanks in advance!!!
