ml370 g3 + p600 + msa60
Hi colleagues,
I'm thinking of upgrading couple of our Proliant ML370 G3s with Smart Array P600 and MSA60 filed with sas/sata hdds. And my question is - will this work out? What extrenal SAS cable do I need, will 419571-B21 be suffice?
Current storage based on Smart Array 642 and Ultra320 SCSI hdds.

Re: ml370 g3 + p600 + msa60
Hi,
according to
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11450_div/11450_div.HTML#Options
no optional SAS controllers are approved by HP for testing with this server. This means it can work, but noone can guarantee you this...If someone has tried this and did this succesfully, doesn't mean that it will function in your server...
Regards,
Pac
