ML370 G5 Ram Problem
Hi,
2 days ago, our main server sent a mail to us about ram problem. After that I checked it in hp system management page and Our 4th memory slot appeared about degraded. Other slots are running normally and seen as "good,in use" but this slot seen as "degraded". At last, Our total ram capacity has seen as 32 GB but one slot was degraded so how can we use 32 GB ?
This is the first time, that we encountred so what we should do...
Could you give us more information about this problem.
--
Sincerely
H. Yagiz Erdinc

Re: ML370 G5 Ram Problem
Hi
Degraded means some health test or data flow to that perticualr RAM showing some error ,its a bit error even though it will show 32 GB only , reason is your RAM not fully failed ..some of the internal cyclic test shows failure
please try this option
remove and refix the ram
check IML and Event viewer for further error
update latest PSP, Firmware
if problem persists replace memory

Re: ML370 G5 Ram Problem
hi
adding to binoyskylark
if the issue continues
I would say also swap the memory module to other slot, we need to find out if the memory stick is bad or the slot on the SB.
yes if you can the Integrated Management Log for more information that would be great to help you out
regards
