ML370 with SA431 will not recognize U320 36 G disk
Hi everybody! I am trying to get a new Ultra320 disk in my ML370 with a SA431 Controller.
I have a running config with a R1 set and a R5 set with 9 Gig disks. I want to run a JBOD 36 Gig disk in the internal disk cage. All I get when plugging in the disk is a "Bad disk" LED on the new disk.
I have rebooted, updated FW on the controller as well as on the server, latest drivers and everything.... Running W2k SP4 all other patches. As far as I have read, there shouldn├В┬┤t be a compatibility issue here, the disk should work in this config.
Pls help....
Best regards
Per Svensso

Re: ML370 with SA431 will not recognize U320 36 G disk
It is possible that the drive is bad.
Please post more detailed information regarding the disk and controller connections. Also the ACU on the Smart Start CD may help you identify your issue.
