ML530 System Hangs
I have a Compaq ML 530 with a 5300 RAID controller. When the server boots after the system trying to find scsi devices the system just hang and do not allow me do anything else.
HDD and Controller has the lastest firware, do you have any idea that whats going on

You need at least 1 "Logical" drive to boot, typically that has the O/S on it. Did it work before? or is it new? If new, you'll need to run smartstart on it. If it worked before, then it lost its configuration, open the top cover take the 5300 out and put it back in. then check. If same condition; If your using either internal ports, check that ribbon cable that goes from port 1 or port2 down to the system board, may be ripped/crimped (incase someone moved the internal full hieght drive bay), see if you can change it with another cable to eliminate it.

System was working ok few weeks ago with 2 logical drives.
Yes I know that the server needs 1 logical drive at least, but the system is hanged before to do that (Boot from CD)
The system do not arrives to boot from CD, it hangs before.
I removed the 5300 to another bays and same results.
I use another cable a not, same results.
Do you have another ideas?
