Re: Monitoring Tool for HP Proliant Servers
Hi, maybe this can be useful?
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/infolibrary.html
Lots of information about SIM.
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/agents/index.html
Information about SMH.
SMH can be installed on every server. Can be installed via the Proliant Support Pack.
SIM is installed on a monitoring server that gathers information about all the servers (also other devices) and presents them on a web interface.

Re: Monitoring Tool for HP Proliant Servers
HP sim is a big piece of kit. If you want to use it install it on a dedicated server. But if you've done a "correct" smartstart installation (windows only) then you should have the hp event notifier installed. Configure this to sent you emails about the hardware status. (you get an mail when something fails)

Re: Monitoring Tool for HP Proliant Servers
From the HP SmartStart CD, choose to install the ProLiant Support Pack. From there you can install the HP agents and the management home page and many other management tools (ADU, ACU, event notifier...)
