Mouse stops working when using a KM switch

I have a problem where the mouse does not work when I go through a Keyboard/Monitor/Mouse switch. I can remove the driver it will work, but when I log back in it finds the mouse again and asks to rebut. When I rebut it does not work again. I can plug the mouse directly into the server and it works fine. I have several dell servers running through these switches and running Win2000 with no problem. When this server was running NT40 is didn't have a problem. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

What type of switch is it. and what is the rom version.
