Multi-Processor PII/333
I see that there is a multi-processor Pentium II/333 upgrade listed for the Compaq Proliant 2500. I also have seen the overdrive processor upgrades for the Pentium Pro. Are these one and the same thing? If so, is there an advantage to buying the Compaq overdrive processor other than support? If not, does the Compaq Pentium II upgrade kit actually allow you to install slot-1 Pentium chips??? Thanks...

Re: Multi-Processor PII/333
Jeff, The PII 133 Processor upgrade involves the following: Processor cage, Processor board, Processor(s), two new ROM chips on the I/O board. The new Processor board involes a 66mHz GTL Bus System to support the PII. Also installed are 2 thermal changes to assure proper cooling of the processor(s). Due to the above complexity and thermal considerations, Overdrive uprades are not recommended or supported.
