NC522SFP 10GbE and Server 2012 R2
Hi,
Our customer bought the NC522SFP network card for their Proliant ML350 G6 server.
They got a problem with it and Server 2012 R2 operating system.
According to the customer the cards ports only work one at a time and it's beacuse the card doesn't fully support Server 2012 R2.
Does anyone have info/experience if that's true?
Thanks.

Re: NC522SFP 10GbE and Server 2012 R2
AFAIK the HP NC522SFP Dual Port 10GbE Server Adapter (now retired by HPE) is supported by the HP ProLiant ML350 G6 Server hardware (see relevant NC522SFP Adapter QuickSpecs here)...but - very likely - there isn't a proper software driver published specifically for the Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2.
AFAIK there are downloads (Driver/Firmware/Software tool) for both Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (not R2) and Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Essential (not R2), you will be able to find them here. Eventually check those ones with your Customer for a test on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2...YMMV.
Pay attention to have NIC (and Server) Firmware component(s) updated too (see why - as example - here)
I'm not an HPE Employee

Re: NC522SFP 10GbE and Server 2012 R2
Yeah he had tried those drivers but no luck. And apparently firmware upgrade doesn't work under Server 2012 R2.
Guess we need to look for other card. Thanks for your reply.
