Nic Installation on ML570 under Unixware 7.1.1

Nic Installation on ML570 under Unixware 7.1.1

Have two ML570 servers , installing UW7.1.1, Having problem with Unixware recognising the nc3123 10/100 network card. Have installed latest 7.1.x nic driver from compaq 7.41A, Have removed ptf604 patch. BIOS on server sees the nic. Run UW7 netcfg utility, but DOES NOT see any NC3123 nic card driver to be able to configure into OS. Run UW7 utility DCU , select 'software device drivers' then 'network interface cards' , DCU advises that no software drviers have been installed. But they have been?
Tried installing as part of initial install. tried deferring during install and installed later. Tried in both non-hotswap and hotswap PCI slot. No success. Both Servers perform indentically. PLease advise what subtlety has been missed?

I would probably make sure you have installed the latest efs from http://www.compaq.com/support/files/server/us/download/15361.html and the driver used for the nic is the e100.
