I'm getting the error
"207-invalid memory configuration-Mismatched DIMMs within bank X" after I installed additional memory.
At the moment the only RAM in the machine (DL380 G5) are 2GB in 1A and 2GB in 2A. The modules are identical but NOT HP cerfified. Does the server reject non certified memory?
Thanks,
Tobias

Does the server deliberately reject non certified memory?

Solutionit can work it can not work
I've seen DL580 G5 fully populated with non HP memory and they work fine, yes an EU saved like 10 thousand dollars not using HP memory
for several Dl580 G5
sometimes is kind of luck ....
so try normal troubleshooting to find out if it is the memory or something else

If you have only two DIMMs in, they should be in 1A and 3A.
There should be no memory slot named 2A - please double-check. If one of your DIMMs is in 1A and the other in 2C, that definitely won't work.
