Noob here, advice on drives for a DL380 SFF 2.5
Sorry if this is a stupid question, first post here
I've been given a HP DL380 gen10 with 16 SFF 2.5 slots for my home server. It's not going to see a lot of use. just security, homelab and media server stuff.
I was wondering if the WD Blue drives would work as I have a very good deal at my local store for Wd20spzx to get a pile of them new for 50 Euros each. It says theyre for mobile devices, which gives me a little concern and I dont want to buy a load and not be able to use them. from the specs they seem fine but I wanted to ask some pros out there who know much more than me before buying 18 drives as I'm on a tight budget.
Thanks very much

Re: Query: Noob here, advice on drives for a DL380 SFF 2.5
When you install non HPE drives there will be alerts of non genuine drives seen in the ILO. It might work but the reporting will not be accurate as smart array controller and the WD drives will not be able to communicate for reporting purposes. Please do refer to the specs of the server before purchasing the drives.
