NT Setup msg: "Line 18 of .INF file is invalid."

Using SmartStart 5.1 (or 5.0, 4.9 or 4.7) on DL370 833Hz dual processor with 1128Mb SDRAM, Internal Smart Array Controller on 2 x 36Gb discs & RIB (LOE). SmartStart runs OK up to Launch Installation; collects all software for Compaq & NT4 Server install. 1st time into "NT Setup" fails with the message; "Line 18 in .INF file is invalid. Setup can not continue. Press any key to exit."
Subsequent attempts on same server: SmartStart would terminate with "SmrtStrt has performed an illegal operation. ..."
revealed "Invalid page fault ... ".
Known to have 2nd processor heat problems at one stage - these have now been fixed.
Have reviewed DL360 Hardware forum with interest but without succcess. Any clues would be appreciated.

reduce the server to base ram ..which is 128 mb run erase and reinstall...you should not encounter the problem this way...it has to do with how the setup of smartstart pages memory..and memory above a certain amount can error out..
