OneView: Cache module board status is now 3 for board located in SlotX
Two DL380p Gen8 servers, both with SA 431 4G Cache modules report every 26Hrs in OneView two errors -
Cache module board status is now 3 for board located in SlotX
Cache module board status is now 4 for board located in SlotX
In the ADU Slot file we have two messages.
cease_cache_activity, send_retries=0 task_id=2
The Super-cap is charged and the cache has been enabled.
The Battey has been changed, several times and so has the SA & Cache module. Even replaced all parts in one go just in case. FW is at the latest.
Is this normal for the 4G cache module which has a battery instead of a cap module?
Is there a patch or a setting for OneView to ignore these messages?
Also, we have increased the PSU's to 750W just in case there is a charging issue.

Re: OneView: Cache module board status is now 3 for board located in SlotX
Greetings!
Please verify from iLO and the Array Configuration Utility if you see any alerts with regards to the cache module.
OneView ideally will talk to iLO and pick the alerts from IML. There is no option to disable the alert in OV.
Please check from iLO if you see the same alerts in the IML (Integrated Management Logs).

Hi,
There are no entries in the IML for the messages recorded in OneView. The OneView messages are aligned to the ADU messages reported every 26Hrs.
