Oneview - Unable to configure SNMP settings after enabing FIP
We have a Gen10 server which we have Enabled FIP security mode on the ILO. The server was being monitored by Oneview.
When FIP was enabled we had to reset the password to what it was prior to the change (this is normal behaviour apparently). Oneview is unable to communicate with the device though. When you perform a refresh in Oneview it states that it is unable to configure SNMP settings on the server ilo, which are required by the appliance for server management.
No changes were made to SNMP settings which were working previously before FIP was enabled.
Has anyone come across this scenarion before and know how to resolve?

Re: Oneview - Unable to configure SNMP settings after enabing FIP
Remove the server from OneView by selecting Force option.
Then add the server again as a fresh hardware
Thank you

Re: Oneview - Unable to configure SNMP settings after enabing FIP
Thank you for the update.
As per the User Guide: https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-a00059962en_us
SNMP server managementFor SNMP Server management, wherever device support is available, SNMPv3 is used. HPE OneViewuses the ILO SNMP interface for server management. However, this interface is not FIPS-compliant. Theauthentication and privacy protocols used vary based on the protocols supported by the specific versionof the device.
If any other server is working fine with FIPS enabled, we request to re-configure the SNMP on the server having issue monitoring.
Please update the status once done.
Thank you
