P420i raid5 volume on Solaris 10 x86 cylinders availability

Hello everybody!

Recently I've installed solaris 10x86 on dl380p g8 with configured raid5 volume using JumpStart, in the process of installation the driver (CPQary3) for array controller was added to miniroot and then to installed OS in failsafe mode.

There is problem appeared with quantity of available cylinders (disk space after all). According to raid configuration utility the volume size is ~3.5TB (4x900GB+1x900GB raid5), but OS determines only 2TB. There is screenshoot of raid utility attached.

Hi!

Perhaps this could be a limitation to solaris - is 2TB the maximum size of a LUN?

Maybe you can create smaller logical drives and then put them together in solaris (zpool?) and then create a filesystem on top of that.
