SolutionHello @XY2,
Since this is Intel hardware, your best bet is:
Go to the Intel Download Center and search for the Intel Management Engine Interface driver compatible with your server chipset.
Alternatively, visit the server or motherboard manufacturer’s support page (e.g., Dell, HPE, Lenovo) and download drivers specific to your exact model and Windows Server 2025 (or the closest available OS version).
Manually Install Driver (If Windows Doesn’t Automatically Find It)
Download the driver package from Intel or OEM.
Extract it.
Go to Device Manager, right-click the PCI Communications Controller device → Update driver → Browse my computer for driver software → select the extracted folder.
Let Windows search there and install.
Ensure Windows Server 2025 is fully updated.
If the device is part of a larger server platform, verify the server vendor’s support site for pre-release or beta drivers.
If the device relates to Intel AMT or vPro, those components often rely on the Management Engine Interface driver.

Re: PCI Komminukationscontroller (einfach)
Hi,
I would suggest updating the chipset driver based on the server model.
It appears that the device with the Hardware ID PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A1BE corresponds to the Intel Management Engine Interface.
