PCI Modem Installation

I am having problems accessing a PCI modem I installed under NT 4.0. The System config utility recognises a device in Slot 4 (PCI) with Interrupt 4.0 and Port addresses of 7098->709f and 7200->72ff and memory address at 83M occupying 1k. How do I get it to register in NT? The modem is a Lucent PCI 56K V.807. I have BIOS revision E15. I expected a COM port just to appear once I installed it...Any help appreciated...
