Performance Issues

I recently went from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 server on a citrix farm I have.

Since doing this, most network based programs perform badly.

Be it browsing files on on a file server
Or using Front End applications talking to one of our SQL Systems.

I've read a lot of articiles with reference to
Windows 2003 SP2 and tcp chimney and the scalable network pack.(such as http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912222)

I've tried many combinations and recomendations around this.

Yet I still have the issues.

What I have are a mix of ML370 G4's and ML370 G5's connected to a cisco gb Network.
Windows 2003 Servers both R2 and standard on SP2 (Fully Patched/hotfixed as of two weeks ago)


I thought I'd try Teaming the NIC's on the onboard cards for the G5's
And i got in for the G4's NC360T's.

I'm still getting naff performance, I'm at a loss what else to start tweaking.

On your network interface under "file and printer sharing for microsoft networks" there are options for "maximise data throughput for file sharing" and "maximise data throughput for network applications"
go for the latter
