Please help with DL580 fan noise.
I tried to search the forum but did not see any recent "fan noise" posts. The older posts had links that were out of date.
If there are can somebody please point the way or give me an idea on how to quiet them down a bit.
Thanks.

Re: Please help with DL580 fan noise.
Upgrade firmware might help. What is the room temperature and server temperature? If the room is warm, the fans will compensate.

Re: Please help with DL580 fan noise.
Hi,
System fans on the DL580 G1 server are not variable-speed and do not adjust their rotational speed based on the server's operating temperature.
If you think the fans were quiet earlier and now its noisy, I would suggest to check which fan is noisy and replace the same.
Bearings of the fan might be causing the noise.
Thanks
