Poliant 800 WIndows 2000 server setup failed.
I would like to upgrade the Porliant 800 to Windows 2000 server . All the fimrware , BIOS, system configuration ulitily are upgarded to latest version .When boot the W2k server Cd , the setup displayed my SCSI hard drive ID , but the 0 Mb in Disk 1 and setup failed. I wonder why the W2k server coudl not detect SCSI hard drive size . What coudl be the problem ?
The size if SCSI hard drive is 4.3 GB.

How is the storage in the PL800 configured?
A Proliant a day keeps the competition away!

Re: Poliant 800 WIndows 2000 server setup failed.
What do you mean how the staorage zie configured ? I don't idea at all.
The error message received is
"STOP:0X0000001E , { , , ,} KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED.
However , if I tried to install with Windows NT 4.0 CD , the SCSI hard driev size detected and setup successfully.
It seems that this PL800 could not support W2k server .
