POST via ILO VSP on DL585

Hi,

I'm want to get BIOS/POST access via the virtual serial port of iLO. VSP is working with Linux, but it doesn't work with POST/BIOS. I found some documents about iLO/RBSU settings, but none solved the problem.

Yes I did, but neither setting it to Auto, Com1 or Com2 gave me output on the VSP. But if I set the embedded serial port to Com1 and bios serial port to com1 (or both to Com2) I was able to send characters, but still no output on the VSP.

The problem is solved by upgrading BIOS from version 2005.04.22 B to 2005.05.30. Now the RBSU looks like documented and selecting VSP for BIOS/POST access works as expected
