Problem with HP LaserJet 5500 and Teamed NICS on DL380

I have a Compaq DL380 with HP NC7781 nics teamed using the HP network config utility. We had a problem where it couldn't see (print to, ping etc.) an HP LaserJet 5000. We eventually tracked it down to the teaming when we found all clients could ping and print to the server, but none of the servers could -except- the server with only one NIC. Has anyone heard of a problem like this?
