Problem with Proliant Ml110 e PCI cards

I have installed Windows Xp pro on a Proliant ML110 Server. The server has also a SCSI adapter installed on a PCI-X slot on wich i attacched 2 SCSI hard disks. The system works correctly. When i tried to install a PCI sound card on a PCI slot, the system doesn't see the SCSI adapter during the boot (before Windows start) and appears the error: "Operating system not found", Removing the PCI sound card the system start correctly. Why?
