problem with SMP

(in case you didnt see this post on the microsoft ....)
hi
i am tring to convert a physical proliant server to virtual using SMP.
during the process i am booting a virtual guest with the smp cd but the os that comes up sais it is not a virtual machine (and it is - so help me god :-) )

and ideas?
