Problem with Teaming in Blades - HP Support is not able to help
Hi,
I have different problems with teaming in our bl25p blade servers. I've purchased the INP-license to set up a "802.3ad Dynamic Dual Channel Load Balancing" team with all 4 network cards. Two of them are connected to our first core switch, the others to our second core switch - both HP ProCurve 5308xl Switches. LACP is enabled.
The documentation says if I set the teaming mode to automatically it should select the upper teaming mode if everything goes well. But in my case always another teaming mode is selected which has either no redundancy or
not full transmit/receive bandwith.
Setting the upper mode works for most cases. All applications seem to run perfect, except MS virtual machines can not access the network. Switching back to another teaming mode fixes the problem.
HP Support won't help or is not able to even the serves and the network products are HP!
Envirenment:
Windows Server 2003 R2
ProLiant Support Pack 7.51a
Has someone of you a similar configuration with a teaming working as specified?
With kind regards,
Carsten.
