Processor Upgrade
In the process of upgrading the PII400Mhz CPU to 600Mhz, we purchased the Compaq 600Mhz processor kit, part number 155592-001 SPS-PROC, PIII,600/100, W/HTSNK.
It only contained the processor, there was no processor power module included. Have we been given the wrong kit? or did I order the wrong kit..
Also the PII400 model 1850R only shows processor settings for 350Mhz,400Mhz and 450 Mhz. Where do I get the settings for 600Mhz?
I understand that we will need a Thermal Kit.

Re: Processor Upgrade
The part number you order was the wrong kit . You ordered from the Spare Part Number (or replacement part) for the processor . The correct option part number , which includes the PPM follows :
Processor:
6/600 Pentium III 512K Processor Option Kit 153555-B21
Thermal Upgrade Option Kit Part Numder# 144003-B22
Not installing the Thermal Upgrade Kit will void warranty .
