Proliant 1600 + Mandrake Security MFN

We are planning a firewall based on Mandrake Security MFN.Hardware is a Proliant 1600 server.

Now the problem.

It is possible to install the system on either the smart array or on an additional ide hdd, but then i does not boot.

It hangs up, just showing two letters : LI

With or without the scsi-apdater inside, nothing happens again.

My question now, does any body now how to install and bring up a open-source firewall on that proliant server?
