Proliant 1600 problem when switching on
Its been a tough day for me..need your guys help on this...
I administering one proliant 1600 server..when pressing the power switch the light comes on, all the fans power up, the lights on the drives come on... but all only for a second..
Its happen after i change the I/O Fan and do a bit cleaning..

Hi,
I would recommend re-seating all boards (processor board, I/O Board) and all cables between those boards and the backplane (the board where Processor and I/O boards are connected). If you have redundant power supplies, you should also check the cable between the power supply board and the backplane.

Thanks Stephen..
Already done as been advice by you but the error is still there..Is it norm to the Proliant to do such thing,i mean whenever there's a problem with the 1611 I/0 Fan Failure detected (as preventive action before the board become overheated)
I've change the fan but its not exactly the same the differnt is on the amp..the old one is 40amp the new one that i had change is 70amp the volt is the same..
