Proliant 1600
Hi all,
i'm reinstalling the w2k server in a proliant 1600 6/550 server. while i was checking the device manager it shows an exclamation mark on usb controller. i uninstalled it from device manager and reinstalled it, rebooted the system still the same. the server dosent have a built-in usb. so i fixed a usb card in the server. usb root hub properties showing to update the bios of the server. the System Rom is P8 and dated 07/14/1999. pls. help me to find the correct update file so that i can solve this issue. thanks in advance
cheers

Re: Proliant 1600
Hello Suhail Fazil,
The latest online ROM of (P08)version 2000.11.08 B (17 Jan 02):
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/9878.html
Systems ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette
version 4.14 A (8 Dec 00)
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/9343.html
Online version can be executed from windows OS, the latest firmware will take effect once the server is restarted. Else you could use the traditional Softpack(Systems ROMPaq) method, where it will create a bootable floppy with the firmware. Once booted from the floppy it will update the firemware.
Also install the latest PSP, that should resolve all the issues.
