Proliant 1850R

I would like that Proliant 1850R dual CPU 550 Mhz RAM256 MB is possible to put more ram, and still have sparepart for RAM? how is the bigest capacity of RAM that i can use with this server, and what's the bigest HDD i can put to this server

on the 1850R you have 4 memory slots that wil support up to a 256MB DIMM for a total of 1GB. As far as hard drives go you can install the new U160 drives I know for sure if you have the newer drive cage (these drives stopped at 73GB). I would be willing to be that you can run the newer U320 drives (max out at 146GB each) in this server as well, but I have not tried it yet. You can also add the 2x1 cage that goes under the cd-rom drive, bringing you to a total of 6 drives.
