proliant 3000r energy cost

I have one Compaq 3000r server with 6 9 gig drives. Attached to this server is one rackmount case with seven drives
(storage/system F1) and one tower storage case
(Proliant series 3092)with seven drives.
My wife claims this is running up our electric bill.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.
